Visualising education – first thoughts on uses of imagery
In this vlog I float some questions about the way we visualise certain concepts and processes in education. 1. Why do we think of one type of education as ‘broad’ and another as ‘deep‘? Why does this lead to different value judgements about these types of education? 2. What does the image of a ‘cutting edge‘ really signify? Does it imply something about progress? Does it limit the number of people we can ever expect to work at the frontiers of knowledge? 3. In what ways can w
